If you are interested in international politic, you will enjoy to read the article adapted from a speech of Lee Kuan Yew, Prime Minister of Singapore, in the journal with the same title of this blog, "Foreign Affairs" (January/February 2007). I agree with him when he states: "A free and fair election, moreover, is not the best first step toward democracy in a country that has no history or tradition of self-government." But I can see that it's a very difficult issue and it will be a big challenge for the next president of USA.
